Product Overview

Fully refined paraffin, also called white paraffin, is made from oil-containing wax obtained from petroleum fractions. It is processed through solvent or sweating de-oiling, by bleaching clay adsorption or deep hydrogen refining to produce high-purity petroleum wax. It mainly consists of C₂₀‑C₄₀ straight-chain alkanes and is the highest purity type among paraffin products. The product comes in block or granular form, is white and smooth in appearance, free of impurities and odor, and solid at room temperature.

Very low oil content: Premium grades have oil content ≤0.5%, do not exude oil at room temperature, feel non-greasy, and are not prone to oil seepage.

Good chemical stability: Low content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, sulfur, and nitrogen impurities; excellent thermal and light stability; resistant to oxidation and discoloration.

Regular crystallization and suitable hardness: Stable melting point range, strong deformation resistance, and good molten flow.

Waterproof and moisture-proof, with excellent insulation; insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents like benzene, ether, and chloroform.

Main Uses

Daily use: High-end decorative candles, crayons, matches, carbonless paper, wax paper production.

Cosmetics & pharmaceuticals: Cosmetic creams, ointment bases, sealing for medicine bottles (compliant grade).

Industrial manufacturing: Precision casting, high-frequency ceramics, decorative panels, paper coatings, rubber additives, electrical insulation, metal rust prevention and protection.

Fully Refined Paraffin Wax is a full refined paraffin wax product made from natural crudeased oil containing wax through the process steps of solvent deoiling and hydrotrating.Fully Refined Paraffin Wax is an odorless solid under ambient temperature, can be molten by heating.

Additional notes

- Premium grades of 60# and above: 

  Color ≥ 25#, light stability ≤ 5#, penetration slightly decreases as melting point increases.

- Reference indicators for first-grade products (for comparison): 

  Oil content ≤ 0.8%; color ≥ 22#; light stability ≤ 6#; other properties the same as premium grade.

- Oil content of 0.5% is the key distinction between fully refined and semi-refined paraffin; 

  semi-refined has oil content ≤ 1.5‑2.0%.

- Appearance: white solid, blocky or granular, no visible impurities, no sweating or oil seepage at room temperature.

 - Food contact grade paraffin must additionally meet the national food-grade paraffin standards; 

  industrial GB446‑93 cannot be directly equated with food grade.
